What sounds like a sumptuous meal the folks from Louisville’s Bluegrass Brewing Company and Four Roses have put together The Bourbon & Beer dinner in what they say combines the best of both worlds.

I might just have to agree with that.

The dinner is February 23 at the Four Roses Bourbon Barrel Loft on the third floor of BBC’s location on 300 W. Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Here’s the four-course menu

Appetizer

  • Smoked beef brisket over crispy cornbread served with bacon jam, shaved gouda cheese and baby arugula.

Salad

  • Baby spinach salad – crispy pork belly, pickled red onions, sweet potato hay, toasted pine nuts, blood oranges and dried cherry vinaigrette.

Entre’

  • Grilled bourbon marinated beef tenderloin served with butternut squash risotto and brown butter brussel sprouts topped with smoked vanilla bean demi glaze.

Desert

  • Peanut butter crème brulee with bourbon ganache

Wait, there’s more…Get to know the guys behind the bourbon and beer. Four Roses Master Distiller Jim Rutledge and Blue Grass Brewing’s Brewmasters Toby and Jeremy Hunt will be there to discuss the work and products.

The Four Roses Bourbon Barrel Loft is on the third floor of downtown location.
