Turn Four Roses into a dozen roses

Ah, Valentine’s Day…maybe everyone can be happy.

Here’s how it can happen:

Your wife, friend, husband etc: Receiving a dozen roses or some other flower arrangement. Who says flowers are just for women.

You: Sampling Four Roses Bourbon and hors d’oeuvres

Louisville’s Brightside program: Funding from your minimum donation of $5.

Here’s how it can all come together for everyone to be happy.  Get yourself out to Nanz & Kraft florist  in  St. Matthews on Friday between 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.  Not only will you smell the aroma of the flowers there, you can sniff and taste samples of Four Roses bourbon.

For the fourth year, the two have teamed up to celebrate Valentine’s Day for the benefit of Louisville’s Brightside program.  Donate at least $5 to taste bourbon samples and enjoy some snacks. But wait, there’s more. If you are wanting to learn a little more about bourbon you can talk to Jim Rutledge, Four Roses Master Distiller. And you can talk to the bourbon’s Brand Ambassador, Al Young.

Young will be there with copies of his newly released book, Four Roses: The Return of a Whiskey Legend.  He’ll sign a copy for you.

Brightside has beautification programs to foster community pride around Louisville and they also develop green activities Nanz & Kraft florist is at 141 Breckenridge Lane in St. Matthews.

I’m going to try to stop by to chat with the master distiller and taste some Four Roses samples.

As always, enjoy responsibly
