Love is in the air, and so is the sweet smell of bourbon. Make your reservations soon for a special dinner and tasting in celebration of Valentine’s day.

On February 11  you might want to head over to Frankfort to Buffalo Trace for a six-course food and spirit tasting. How’s this sound: oysters on the half shell, lamb brochettes and sorghum glazed pork belly.

It’s not just about food and drink. Drew Mayville, Buffalo Trace’s Master Blender, will explain how the various spirits blend with the menu created Dupree Catering.

You’ll need to make reservations for the dinner at the Stagg Gallery at the distillery’s visitor center.  The cost for “Buffalo Love” is $100/couple, or $50 per person. Email Sarah Webb at swebb1@buffalotrace.com or her at 502-696-5929. The event will run from 7-9 p.m. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

Attire is smart casual.
